The first day

The first day of school. Mila's very first day at a German school to be correct. Ok, it's a bilingual school but nevertheless new school, new teachers, new fellow students in a new town. 

She was so nervous and scared but excited and ready as well. And so was I. 

And then she just sat down on a table next to a girl and I left. 

I'm so proud of her and she was clearly proud of herself when I picked her up.

How much can a child grow in a day?

It is so amazing to witness her totally out of her comfort zone in the morning and so independent, strong and proud in the afternoon. How much that teaches her and how big the reward is, priceless. 

And guess what, the girl who is sitting next to her is from Australia as well!
